2011 McBiker McDonald’s Rally

Join us for the 2011 McBiker McDonald’s rally on Sunday, July 10th, 2011. Registration starts at 9:00am at McBiker McDonald’s at M-59 & Airport Rd. There will be tons of prizes, music, raffle, live auction, special guest MC “Boomer” from Boomer’s Roadhouse and Bike Shop. Ride through some of Southeast Michigan’s best motorcycle towns! Ride ends at the all-new Boomer’s Roadhouse at approximately 4:00pm. You don’t need a bike to enjoy the show!

9th Annual Vinnie’s Children’s Charity Golf Outing

Please mark your calendar for June 3rd to join us for the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit’s 9th Annual Vinni’s Children’s Charity Golf Outing. This year’s event will take place at the Award Winning Fieldstone Golf Course in Auburn Hills.

There will be a shotgun start at 1:00pm at The Fieldstone Golf Club, located at 1984 Taylor Rd. in Auburn Hills, MI 48326. For directions, please call 248-370-9354. Registration begins at noon with the driving range and practice facility opening at the same time. Dinner will be served between 6:30pm and 7:00pm. This year’s events include:

Vote to Help Us Win $25,000

Vote to support The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit in bid for $25,000 from The Home Depot Foundation. The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit is One of Four Nonprofits Competing In Foundation’s Aprons in Action Program.

(Detroit, MI) May 1, 2011 – The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit has been selected as a finalist for Aprons in Action, The Home Depot Foundation’s unique Facebook voting program, and now has the opportunity to win the grand prize of a $25,000 gift card from The Home Depot.  Voting begins May 2 and runs through May 31; the finalist with the most votes will win the grand prize.

“Being selected as a finalist for the Aprons in Action program is an honor, and we are so thankful for the recognition,” said Jennifer Litomisky, Executive Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. “If we actually win the $25,000 Home Depot gift card, we’ll be able to renovate several more rooms for our families and complete some major renovations, such as replacement of our roof and some windows. So we encourage everyone to go to Facebook and vote for us!”

Working together, the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit and Team Depot volunteers have already renovated 3 rooms and our laundry facility.

Across the country, Home Depot associates give back to their communities by volunteering their time and talents with local nonprofit organizations, like the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit. The Aprons in Action Program recognizes these successful partnerships and gives each of the featured nonprofits the opportunity to do additional work with Team Depot volunteers to better their communities.

As a finalist in the Aprons in Action Program, each of the competing nonprofits receives $5,000 in Home Depot gift cards.

Meet Ronald McDonald on May 7, 2011 from 12pm to 2pm for Mother & Child Tea at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, MI. This event benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southeast Michigan. Imagine Fashion Show

The International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) will be hosting its student fashion show, Imagine, on March 16, 2011 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre. Imagine is an annual fashion show, now in its seventh year, featuring original designs by students in the Fashion Design and Fashion Design and Merchandising programs at IADT’s Detroit (Troy) campus.

“We’re thrilled to showcase Metro Detroit’s talented student fashion designers,” said Julie Patterson, fashion design program chair at IADT-Detroit. “Our students work extremely hard to prepare for this special event.”

Northville Christmas Market
