Home Depot – Aprons in Action Face Book Challenge!
March 2012
The Ronald McDonald House of Detroit, winner of the May 2011 Aprons in Action contest – The Home Depot Foundation’s year-long Facebook voting program – will compete against 10 other monthly winners for $250,000 in the final round of the contest. Voting is March 1 – 31 at www.facebook.com/homedepotfoundation. The organization with the most votes at the end of the month will win the $250,000 grand prize. Organizations with the second and third most votes will receive $150,000 and $100,000 respectively, from The Home Depot Foundation.

Mother’s Day and Children’s Tea

Meet Ronald McDonald on May 5, 2012 from 12pm to 2pm for Mother & Child Tea at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester, MI. This event benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southeast Michigan. Doors open at 11:30am. The cost is $55 for adults, $25 for children (12 and under). To reserve your spot early, please contact Jennifer Litomisky at 317-745-5909. Seating is limited. There will be raffles, silent auctions (including a special silent auction for kids), special gifts for kids, and special rates for overnight stays at the Royal Park Hotel.

10th Annual Vinnie’s Children’s Charity Golf Outing

Shotgun Start at 1:00pm at The Fieldstone Golf Club, located at 1984 Taylor Rd. in
Auburn Hills, MI 48326. For directions call 248-370-9354. Registration Begins at noon
with Driving Range and Practice Facility opening at the same time. Dinner will be served

Summer Solstice Garden Party

You may have attended our previous wine benefits at the Henry Ford Estate. Perhaps
you weathered the 2006 wine benefit at the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit, where
tornados touched down just a few miles north. You may have been very lucky to attend
last few years where we’ve had perfect weather, awesome food, spectacular Hawaiian
music and a great night of fun and Hula dancing. 

This year we are having wine, country music, and a good old fashion BBQ! Live entertainment
provided by Julianne, check her out at www.juliannemusic.net.

 

A variety of food, desserts, wine, and other drinks will be served at this celebration.

2012 McBiker McDonald’s Rally
TBD
Join us for the 2012 McBiker McDonald’s rally on TBD. Registration starts at 9:00am at McBiker McDonald’s at M-59 & Airport Rd. There will be tons of prizes, music, raffle, live auction, special guest MC “Boomer” from Boomer’s Roadhouse and Bike Shop. Ride through some of Southeast Michigan’s best motorcycle towns! Ride ends at the all-new Boomer’s Roadhouse at approximately 4:00pm. You don’t need a bike to enjoy the show! 

Big KUDOS and BIG THANKS to Peter and Nancy Donaghue for ANOTHER amazing McBiker event! Over 400 bikers joined Peter and Nancy at Boomers in Waterford! This was a record setting year for the Donaghues! Final fundraising numbers will be available in the next few weeks!

 

This is year 13 for the McBiker event – which has raised over $150,000 for both the Detroit and Ann Arbor Houses!

RMHC Annual Detroit Princess Cruise Event

Celebrate the 33nd Anniversary of the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit in style aboard the Detroit Princess. Enjoy The Amazing View Of The Detroit Skyline At Dusk, Strolling Buffet And Coffee Station, Dj (Playing The Great Sounds Of Motown), Talented Sketch Artist, Entertainment (To Tickle Your Funny Bone), And Exciting 50/50 Raffle. 

Join us on Friday, August 24 at The Detroit Princess Riverboat, 201 Atwater St., Detroit, MI. Boarding Times are from 6:00pm to 6:45pm and Sailing Times are from 7:00pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are $100 per adult and $60 per child (12 and under).

Children’s Day Rally

The 5th Annual Children’s Day Rally will be held on August 26, 2012. This year’s event features over $10,000 in raffle prizes!There is a $20 donation per rider and the event starts from 9am to noon at the McDonalds at 2985 Walton Blvd. in Rochester Hills. The ride ends at 3pm at O’Connor’s Public House at 324 Main St. in downtown Rochester. 100% of the proceeds from this event goes to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Detroit.

Holiday Tea at the Townsend
